Fractions to Decimals – Math Matching Game for Teens
What your child learns
- Converts fractions to decimals
- Recognizes common equivalents
- Builds number sense
About this game
Fractions to Decimals helps teens move quickly between two ways of writing the same number. Each round shows fractions, such as 1/2, 3/4 or 1/8, and your teen drags each one onto its matching decimal, or taps a fraction and then a decimal. Knowing common equivalents by heart saves time in percentages, probability and algebra, and it makes estimating much easier. The game starts with familiar halves and quarters and moves on to fifths, tenths and eighths. A handy tip to share: to turn any fraction into a decimal, divide the top number by the bottom number, so 3/8 means 3 divided by 8.
