About this game
Fruit Memory is a gentle first memory game. Your child taps two cards to turn them over and looks for a matching pair of fruits. If the cards do not match, they turn back after a moment, and nothing is lost: there are no points to drop and no timer. The first round has just two pairs, and later rounds add more cards, so the challenge grows slowly. Memory games strengthen working memory and concentration, which young children use for following instructions and, later, for early reading. Name each fruit together as it appears, and talk about which fruits your child likes to eat at snack time.
Questions parents ask
How many cards are there?
The first round has 4 cards. Later rounds have up to 8 cards, which is right for most 3- and 4-year-olds.
Is there a timer?
No. Children can take as long as they like, so the game stays calm and fun.
